Money SMP Economy Basics
On a Money SMP, your balance matters more than your inventory. Here's how to earn, spend, and protect your first stacks.

Money SMPs run on a virtual economy. Gear, claims, warps, and protection all cost currency. The fastest way to fall behind is to treat it like a normal survival server.
First-day income
- Find the admin shop. Sell logs, cobblestone, and crops for starting cash.
- Pick a repeatable farm. Wheat, carrots, and potatoes sell fast early on.
- Do jobs. Most economy plugins pay per action — mining, farming, or killing mobs.
Spending priorities
- Claim blocks first. Protecting your base is cheaper than rebuilding it.
- A silk-touch pickaxe. Lets you sell ores instead of ingots, usually at a premium.
- Shop chests. Rent a plot at spawn and sell to other players.
Pricing psychology
Price just under the admin shop. Players will buy from you if they save time, even for a small discount. Bundle low-value items (like seeds or saplings) to raise average cart value.
Watch for inflation. If money is being printed too fast, invest in assets — claims, rare items, and player shops — instead of holding large cash balances.
